Like most others here, we found out about this collection company when pulling a credit report to buy a house. The negative report was a surprise. Never heard of the company, never owed them money, never contacted by them. Called and was told for a camera ticket from 6 years ago that we never received! DMV never contacted us and sent to this company for collections...who never contacted us. Using a negative report on someone's credit is a very lazy and underhanded way of contacting someone about a debt they are unaware of. Nobody should find out about things like this on a credit report! They said that even if I paid this ticket, company policy was to leave the negative report.
Pros: None.
Cons: This company is screwing a lot of good people over.
