Our bad for being too tired to venture into Des Moines proper. Their bad for having our food out to us (hot...that is the one plus) in less than five minutes with such a bland, uninventive, hog-pile of slop. I ordered the quesadilla de camarones. He ordered the bean enchilada/veggie combo. Mine came out with about 35 fully veined and completely tasteless previously frozen shrimp with zero seasoning, crammed into a microwave heated tortilla and a few slabs of white cheese. I honestly wasn't expecting much, given the location and type of restaurant, but a few finely chopped red onions, cilantro, and some spicy seasoning would have added so much. He says his was ""tasteless, flat."", adding that ""the beans were bland and runny and the sauce tasted like ketchup...with pepper in it."" I rarely (and I mean rarely) can't finish a meal because I'm grossed out...but suffice it to say, my dog enjoyed the rest of it. We ordered a sopapilla for desert which was a crispy, cold, flat tortilla with some sort of chocolate/honey drizzle with 5 spritzes of whipped creme (really?). If you are staying this particular area, do yourself a favor and go into town for a real meal... Pros: festive decor, attentive staff Cons: terrible food
