Heath's Auto Service is the best shop I have ever been to. I have been using Heath's both for my personal and for my company vehicles for probably the better part of a year. I have a fleet for the company employees to use all over northern Arizona, and I have probably been to at least a half a dozen shops over the last 6 or 7 years. Heath's has been the first place where I don't have to deal with any comebacks. I don't have to have them do it twice; they do it right the fist time.
They are obviously not the cheapest place in town, but that is fine with me because I don't have to go back. I tell a lot of people all the time about Heath's Auto because these people are friendly, competent, and honest. They tell me things about my vehicle that no other shop takes the time to tell me. If it does not need to be repaired, they tell me that it doesn't need it. I value that highly.
I know how things work, as I was in the auto mechanic industry, and Heath's is exceptional. One of the things that make them that way is that they are not a flat rate shop. Usually the technician gets paid a flat rate for a certain type of repair regardless of how long it takes. That is an incentive to do the work quickly, because the more repairs are done the more money they make. It has nothing to do with the length of repair or its quality. Heath's technicians don't work on a flat rate.
I won't take a vehicle to any other shop unless they cannot do the work. They even have my personal motor home in the shop right now, and they don't usually work on motor homes. I tell everybody that they owe it to themselves to try Heath's one time, because if they do they won't go anywhere else.
