Review content:
If you wear contact lenses, don't bother going here. Even though they're probably more expensive, I thought I would give a local company some business rather than going to one of the chain stores for my eye exam. It totally backfired on me.
It wasn't until after the exam when I was paying that they told me they don't give out contact lens prescriptions. You have to go to an optician and pay extra if you want to be ""fitted"" for contact lenses and thus receive your prescription. I believe the ploy is to get you to use their on-site optician to buy your contacts, rather than a more affordable online vendor.
The only reason I even WENT to the doctor was to have my annual exam so I could reorder my contacts! To add insult to injury, my prescription hasn't even changed and I will be wearing the same brand of contacts, but I still have to go somewhere else now and pay to get a script.
It seems like a total scam for doctors to be able to do this. It's like going to a salon to get your hair colored, and having them tell you that you have to go next door and pay them to have it washed out. Crazy!
It's really too bad, because the people who work here are nice, and I would like to give them business. I won't be back, however, and I am certainly not going to their optician to be fitted - just out of principle.
Pros: Doctor was nice
Cons: No contact lens Rx's
