I'll admit some of my family would rather sit in an expensive restaurant, or at least a place with a good wine list, but Jacks is one of my favorite places. They serve the best hotdogs I have ever tasted. They have the right color, the right flavor, and the right taste. I grew up in the area and even as a picky skinny child, would always eat food from Jacks. The place does smell, on a hot day you can smell the onions from Hannaford. That is the only negative thing I could say about the place. As soon as the place opens in the spring it is packed. How could so many people be wrong? Don't let anyone fool you into thinking this is a place one should never try. Sure, don't drive an hour just to eat hotdogs on a bench. That is crazy because this is fast food, but do stop in to eat if it's on your way. It's a cheap quick meal.
