Review content:
I finally tried LaVecchia's and had a great waitress, Sara. She was friendly and very attentive to our needs. We were originally seated next to the live lobster tank and I objected to having the creatures swimming right behind my friend's head, where I would have to watch them all night. The hostess agreed to reseat us and within 10 minutes the place filled up to capacity. Obviously, this is a popular place for the after work crowd, so get there a bit on the early side-5ish maybe for a choice seat. Reservations are suggested, too. We had to make a concert and our waitress made sure we got out on time. The food was delish and nice wine selections, too. It does get noisy and the atomosphere is fun and upbeat-very wild fish sculptures hanging from the ceiling. I would also like to go back and hang outside at the bar area one weekend night. This place is off Tryon so you don't have to listen to the cars blaring past and convenient parking next door by Reids. Also, if you have a concert to make at the arena, it is a hop over there-the new light rail is near by, too, for easy in and out of the city. Great place for all ages and persuasions. Pros: Cool and trendy with great food and wine Cons: Gets very loud after work hours
