Review content:
What a bunch of crap. How many families have been walked through these halls only to find out how much smoke was being blown. The average employee there is there fro themselves. I am talking the truth I worked there for 2+years. The operation of staff is careless and dangerous. I have seen many times the residents asking for help to be sinply changed and more often than not employees ignore and go on breaks leaving them in soiled diapers. The staffing issue is terrible they only care about keeping the required by law on staff to operate. I have seen nurses give meds only to help the resident stop causing issues because the employee didnt want to here the resident. The meals are a joke example Breakfast 1 boiled egg I slice of toast usally hard and overcooked and when i say fruit i dont mean a whole orange I mean 1 slither. They had a meeting and the management stated it costs them $5.00 a day per resident to feed them. $5.00 are you kidding me . They are always running out of supplys to do the job effectively. I have witnessed illegal activity go on there that in my mind could be harmfull. ANd yet it was ok'd by a supervisor. `You will see more Registered urses being employed there but dont be fooled its not because they want you to have better care its because Coporate Office has requested it in order to improve their star rating. And yes your family members are always being put at risk to infections because the management refuses to let staff have the day off when they are ILL the management basically threatens the staff with the loss of theyre job if they do not show to work I have worked at different homes throughout jacksonville and unforunately this is one definately hits the bottom list The best thing i could tell you is when searching for a home for your loved one dont just listen to the person giving you the tour remember they get commision for you so for the most part they will tell you what you want to hear. Ask the residents stay for the meals see what they are eating. See how long lights are left on and listen to staff talking you would be amazed.
