Review content:
I had a fabulous experience at Helen?s Garden! My cousin took me there when my husband and I were visiting from San Francisco recently. Coming from the Bay Area, she wanted to take me some place that she thought was of the same caliber?and she was right on. We arrived right when they were opening for happy hour and I immediately felt very relaxed at the bar and I was pleased with the wine selection (and size of the pouring). The bartender (Nona) was very nice and chatted with us about wines, music, etc. We ordered two appetizers ? the hummus and fruit/cheese platter ? and both were excellent. More than enough for three people. There were a few regulars that strolled in as we sat at the bar and they were raving about the food selection. I asked how much they came to the restaurant and they said at least 2 times a week. Perhaps the Wednesday night thing isn't a great idea for such a fine establishment and they should leave that to some sublevel establishment (which this is not). In the end, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and go back again when visiting, but this time for dinner!
Pros: Wine list, food, service, atmosphere
Cons: Small space at the bar
