Review content:
Spork is simply terrific!!! I have been desperate to find cooking classes in LA that don't use animal ingredients and sadly it is close to impossible-until now. My husband knew how frustrated I was looking for vegan cooking classes in Los Angeles so he surprised me with 3 classes from Spork for my birthday! He even attended 2 of them with me. Chef/owner Jenny and her sister Heather have the perfect setting for class instruction. They keep it small and intimate and every seat has a perfect view of Jenny as she preps and cooks. Jenny is warm and friendly and most importantly an extremely competent and skilled chef in the art of vegan cooking and baking. Every step is explained and there was no question in my mind that I couldn't make these items at home. My first class was the dessert basket class back in December where we learned how to make an assortment of baked goods for the holidays including pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, the creamiest chocolate mousse ever and a Pecan Fig and Sage Shortbread Cookie Dipped in chocolate-pure bliss. I had to stop eating those or there would be nothing left for the rest of the class. They melt in your mouth.
