I have been going to Beauty First (recommended by a friend) after several bad experiences elsewhere. I go to Meredith, and sometimes Jessika. They do a great job. And most importantly listen to what you want. Price is reasonable, and Meredith is always in a good mood, and always nice. She seems up to date in hairstyle, and accommodate your taste. The whole place is down to earth, and professional. Sometimes I don't get a haircut for 4 months, but she always remembers me. The place is busy with enough bookings, but they are always on time and space the appointment far apart where you don't have to wait, and hear other peoples conversation. It feels pretty private. No worries about having foil in your hair while a crowded room stares, becuz that wouldn't happen here.
Pros: Never over schedule their bookings, so never a wait.
