I called for an appointment in November and was not able to see the docgtor for the first time until January 9. (In Novemeber I had insurance that would have paid for the whole visit. In January I had an $800 deductable to pay.) I was hospitalized from January 2 - Jan 6 so They called him and I was able to have an new MRI then. I went to the Jan 9 appointment and was scheduled for surgery January 26. AFter surgery he came to the stepdown ICU and told me about the compications. I also was seen by heart specialists who insisted I had an irregular heart beat so I was detained in stepdown ICU for six day. I was delivered a back brace in ICS but it was never put on me all during my stay even though one nurse said I should be wearing it and I asked to have it put on me. I guess they talked with Dr. Morreale but I do not remember seeing him only the heart doctors. I was in rehab for 3 weeks as I had other complications when I got there. so I saw internists and heart specialists. They did put the brace on during rehab. When i got home my legs were so swollen that the home nurse called my internist to see what to do about them. She came 3 days in a row and I was sent to the internist. The next day I call to get my first apointment with doctor who did the surgery to see if the bone grafts were working . I could not get an appointment until April 1. Now this will be two and a half months after the surgery before I get in for my first appointment. His papers that I got on my first appointment before the surgery said he would see me once a month for the first three months and then once every three months. I have on this paper that I am to bring and exray with me . I have no perscription for the exray to take to the hospital and I am worried because I was not put into the back brace for 6 days after the operation. I hoope the bone grafts are working because I can not go through this again.
