Review content:
This is my very first posted review. I'm a repeat visitor of ""The Boot"" and feel it necessary to praise this gem on Germantown Ave. This cozy corner ha a comfortable setting (not quite elbow bumping, the staff maneuvers it well), plenty of conversations (aren't many red sauce Italian places?), exquisitely friendly service, and quality menu selection, presentation and taste! It isn't the most romantic place for a quiet dinner for two, but if you're flexible, the dishes from The Boot can take you there! Choices range from more casual (but hearty) special sandwiches, to your classic rich Italian pastas and sauces, to the more refined chicken and seafood dishes (not overcooked, but lush and succulent). I recommend the light and crisp calamari starter (so fresh!) Remember to BYOB; if there's a small line, you can always start your bottle on the bench or have the staff keep your whites chilled while you wait. Very affordable for the connoisseur-in-training. Perfect for great dining with a casual attitude. Closed on Mondays. Pros: BYOB, Parking, Service Cons: Not Quiet, Not good for groups
