When I Initially called Wilcox Auto, I was treated very kindly by Tom, but then when my car was actually in there, I was jerked around and everything that made the place of business seem reasonable and the intital reason i chose them over, say HUNTS auto, was retracted by Shane. For example, I was told by Tom that the intial inspection charge of $65 would be put towards the repair charge price, (so if they did repairs, I basically would not have to pay that inspection charge in addition to the repair price). Shane just told me that I would be charged that inspection price, regardless of what other repairs are done. Also, I was told by Tom that if I purchased the caliper cleaning service (adds about $30-40 onto the repair price) while getting my brake pads replaced, I would have a lifetime warrenty on the brake pads. However, Shane just told me that to get the lifetime warrenty, I would also have to purchase rotors, and have them installed. Finally, I was told yesterday when I stopped in that if I dropped my car off today, they'd give me a call with the diagnostics by lunch time, and would definitely have the repair done by the end of the day today. What I was just told on the phone, when I asked if the repairs could be done today, was a hesitant....""uhhhh possibly?"" So now, although it's lunchtime and they just started looking at it, I will have to end up paying $65 regardless. When I called back and told them to forget about the brakepads and I'd have them done elsewhere, Shane put me on hold, and then told me they already have my brakes out and have cleaned the calipers, although less than 5 minutes previous to that statement, they were only doing a diagnostic inspection and never called to ask my permission to do these repairs!!!! Terrible company, terrible policies, terrible communication, and Shane lied to me just to get money out of he for a repair I did not authorize!!!! Pros: Not much, from what it looks like!! Cons: Bad Service, No Loaner program, inaccurate quotes and information given to customers!!!
