I've lived down the street from Spud all my life. In the last about 4 years it has gone steadily downhill. Every now and then I stop in to see if it is as bad as it was the last time, and it's been worse and worse. About a week ago, which really will be the last time for me, the fish was raw inside, cold, and the batter was soaked up with grease like an old leftover that had been re-heated up in the oil. Also all three pieces of ""cod"" were that icky brown color that should be what you trim off to get a good filet. The whole restaurant smelled like stale fish which has never been that bad before. They're getting fewer and fewer customers and that is why.
