Businiess name:  Dunn Physical Therapy

Review content:
First, I must say that I like the physical therapist that worked with me. He's the reason Dunn is getting 3 stars instead of 0 stars. What I found unacceptable about Dunn was their billing management. Here's what happened. I'd been going to Dunn for physical therapy since November 2009 and I had scheduled in advance many therapy sessions with them all the way into 2010. In late December 2009, I got a call from their administration staff telling me that my insurance plan allowed me to schedule two more therapy sessions in 2009. They encouraged me to use those benefits before the end of 2009. So I scheduled more therapy sessions with Dunn, in addition to those I had already previously scheduled. Some time in January 2010, Dunn's administration staff told me that I had exceeded my insurance plan benefits in 2009. My insurance company refused to pay Dunn for two of the therapy sessions in 2009. They told me that I was responsible for paying Dunn for those sessions. I told them that it was their administration staff that called me to tell me that I had unused benefits. It was their administration staff that encouraged me to use those benefits. In response, Dunn admitted that their administration staff had mistakenly thought that I had unused benefits when I did not. But they told me that I still had to pay them for their services. It was unacceptable to me that Dunn admitted to their mistake but I had to pay for their mistake. I brought this matter to their manager who spoke to the owner. But they refused to waive any of their charges even though it was their fault. They told me that I still had to pay because I was responsible for all payments not covered by insurance. So I paid. But this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled all my therapy sessions with Dunn and changed to a different company. That was back in January 2010. In March 2010, I got a call from Dunn telling me that they did not charge my credit card for the co-pay of one of my therapy sessions. I checked my records and they were correct about forgetting to charge me. So I paid them. But this incident is just another example of their incompetence when it comes to billing management. If you are considering going to Dunn, please be careful with their billing management practices. Pros: Good physical therapist Cons: Incompetent Billing Management
