I took my boat to Milltown Dock & Marine for repair and had the absolute worst experience of my life. They had my boat for 7 weeks! Every 3 days I called and it was one problem after another. It really seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. It truly seemed like they were guessing. The motor on my boat worked perfectly with the exception of some issues with the control cables. I asked that they replace my control box with one I purchased and that's where it all started. I finally picked my boat up after almost 2 months and not only does it not function the way it should, it's worse. I now have to pull start the motor and have to choke it to turn it off. I spent over $700, got many of my own parts because they couldn't seemingly get them shipped from Forest Lake, MN about 40 miles away, got my boat back worse than it was and on top of that I was treated so poorly I was shocked. I asked the shop to keep all the original parts which they didn't. The ""tossed them out"" as part of their shop cleaning. The whole experience was a nightmare. I won't recommend this business to anyone. I always like to support local businesses but this is one I can't. Beware of this business!
Quick update on my post, took my boat to Arrow Marine just down the road in St. Croix Falls, they had it fixed in less than an hour and it works great! These guys also serviced and stored my boat this Winter for $80 less money, just put it in the water this past Saturday and it runs great!
