Review content:
The Counter has several selling points for me, not the least that you can customize every element of your burger from meat to toppings to bun to size (up to 1 lb.!) I like that I can eat there without worrying that my beef comes from a disease-ridden feedlot somewhere. I'm all for the e. coli-free experience!
The fries come in regular, sweet potato, or the onion string variety, none of which are outstanding but get a boost from a strong lineup of aiolis and dipping sauces, all of which can be ordered on your burger as well. They also have a decent selection of local wine and beer.
Most of all, they are extremely attentive on twitter (@CounterBurger) and they always seem to have some kind of special going on, like 4 sliders with a 4 microbrew pairing for $12. In Seattle (or anywhere, really) it is rare to find a restaurant that is so responsive and rewarding to its customers.
Pros: Local & sustainable food from a ""chain""
Cons: Not the cheapest burger around
