Review content:
I've lived in the Bay area for over 20 years and i've noticed several imposters trying to copy the original Las Palmas in East Oakland. It's been a local favorite in the old Eastmont Mall (now the Easmont Town Center) for many reasons. I've been going to the same location for almost twenty years and I've seen the owners' children grow up too! Ever since they opened this location on College avenue some 7 years ago I exclusively come here now. Often times I'll ask coworkers out to lunch and suggest Las Palmas and more often than not they've heard of it but usually they're familiar with an imitator. So just to get the record straight, there are two original LAS PALMAS locations: the very first location is at the Eastmont Town Center, the second location is at 5804 College ave. the owners told me that they're working on a third location but didn't tell me where/when. ALL OTHER LOCATIONS, like ""las palmas super burrito"" & ""las palmas burrito and fish n chips"" are sad imposters that've stolen the name and are riding the wave of over twenty years of success. i should know, i've seen them come and go and the owner is a friend of mine... he's told me about the others but his english isn't so good so as a friend, i'm helping him set it straight. you've been forewarned. Pros: The Original Las Palmas Flavor and Quality Cons: lots of imitators... very flattering but bad for business
