I'm so sick of everyone telling me this place has great food! Not once have I had good service or food. My list of grievances are as follows: 1. Rude Hostesses-- I called the restaurant in advance to ensure they were still open, when I got there with a party of 4, I was told they were closed. No accomodations were made, no suggestions given. 2. Asked: ""Is that all you're gonna eat?"" Need I say more. 3. Ordered a glass of Zinfandel, received Pinot Grigio the first time, then a rose the second. 4. Carpaccio w/fat in it. 5. Cold soup...no it wasn't Gazpacho Oh did I mention the last 3 were on the same visit? I used to bartend in a great family run italian restaurant in Menlo Park, CA; and I'd travel the 2 hours to them instead of ever eating at Don Gio's again. Pros: patio, full bar Cons: food, service, food
