Review content:
AVR is a good property management if you're an experienced tenant and fine with a 'no-frills' place.
Things I liked about AVR:
- blunt and matter-of-fact about the owner is wililng to do and not do.
- does things by the book. I've read the CA tenant handbook and AVR didn't shirk on anything.
Things I didn't like:
- AVR needs to work on their customer communication skills/level of friendliness with tenants. Tenant's expect a company that makes an effort at the niceties - 'thank you for calling', 'what can we do for you', 'have a good day', etc, some attempt at forming a relationship with the tenant and making them feel comfortable with you. You don't get this from AVR, which unfortunately really turns off some people.
The exception is the young lady, who is always very friendly on the phone.
Pros: On the level, does things by the book
Cons: No emergency contact line, not 'newbie' friendly
