Review content:
One of the all time great bars in Philadelphia! Murphys has a friendly staff, friendly patrons, good food and drinks. Billy Murphy himself will welcome you if he is there and possibly ring the bell and buy the bar a drink in recognition of your first time as a customer.
Very mixed crowd and everyone is welcome. You can feel comfortable bringing your parents or your children. People come back to Billy Murphy's for years, from all over ,and people are just flat out nice.
Beer is cold although the drafts are sometime a bit flat. Food is also good. Cheese steaks are among the best in the city and club sandwiches are also worth a try. Fries are always fresh and hot. Good spot!!
Pros: friendly, good food and drink, good prices
Cons: out of the way, parking may be diffic
