I work long hard hours for a government agency, my family and I were seeking a true home away from home, a vacation rental to relax and pamper us and leave the worries of work far behind us. We searched for an Island, a quite place with nice beaches, places to eat and maybe visit some wineries. Not wanting to fly to California we found what seemed like a real gem, in the Hamptons, but not the craziness of the Hamptons a small Island, surrounded by Coves, Bays a true vacation home Get Away. The pictures on the website looked to good to be true, but I must say, upon our arrival we were more than pleasantly surprised, it appeared that we may have found the perfect place for vacation rental. As it turns out Shelter Island Hideaway is that place, a place where you can relax, swim, play and enjoy your vacation in a luxurious European inspired Romantic Hideaway Vacation home, and best of all, it is just across the street from a beautiful and quiet beach. From our European Shelter Island Vacation homes we walked to the famous Itzhak Perlman Music Program and were entertained by beautiful music and we were absolutely shocked it was free! It is just down the road form the awe inspiring gorgeous Sunset Beach, a touch of the Hamptons with fun Music, Celebrity watching (we did actually see 2 very famous people there), Yacht gazing and of course swimming, skiing, boating and picnicking. In short I would whole heartily suggest you to visit Shelter Island and look to stay at one beautiful dental house, Shelter Island Hideaway. You will be amazed with its beautiful surroundings he beach, the big warm pool, the landscaping and privacy and all those TV?s for everyone.
