Review content:
My family and I have celebrated Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, and just recently, my sister's 27th birthday at the Mill on the River, coming for brunch each time. Of the three visits, I've had one decent experience with the waitstaff. The other two visits were less than satisfactory and a bit uncomfortable to say the least. My first bad experience was with a waiter who immediately said there would be no substitutes, that what was on the menu was all you could order...no exceptions. I found this a bit frustrating since I follow a strict bodybuilding diet, as does my boyfriend. After working up the nerve to see if we could make some changes, the waiter agreed and reluctantly took our orders, leaving us feeling burdensome. My most recent experience was with a waitress who was taking our drink orders. After ratting off a list to me, I told her no thanks, that I was on a diet. She replied, ""So just the water? Is that on your diet?"" She walked off and looked back with an uncomfortable stare. At that point I wanted to go home. In the future I will ask my mom to go elsewhere for our celebrations.
Cons: Rude, uninviting waitstaff. Snobbish feel.
