What can I say about Bruce Key? Bruce is a gentle old soul who passionately serves the Volkswagen driving community. He dearly loves the affordable car of the people and has many Beetles and Buses (as well as Rabbits, Golfs, Cabbies, Sciroccos, Jettas, Foxes, Dashers, Things, Ghias, Quantums, and Vanagons) to choose from for inexpensive parts and/or restoration. Not to mention...well I'm gonna mention it...he has the most efficient and personable mechanic serving the air-cooled VW driver and enthusiast. His name is Doyle Grizzard and he is a fellow bus driver, and he doesn't mind getting his hands dirty on an old Transporter. He knows the pancake engine inside and out, and I've never seen a quicker or more meticulous mechanic who genuinely loves keeping those breadbox beasts on the road. Bruce and Doyle are patient with their customers when it comes to pick up and delivery. (I have left my bus there for a few days upon completion until I was able to arrange a ride to pick it up, and Doyle and Bruce had no problem with working with me on that.) I have also paid them for their labor without a ride and upon my return they had left the key in a certain place for me to find and drive my bus home.
Pros: every thing you always wanted in VW service center...and much more.
Cons: entering and exiting HWY 78 with a VW in tow can be a bear...but worth it.
