Review content:
Did you get your FREE Starbucks pastry last Tuesday (7/21/09) w/ beverage purchase? 'Cuz I sure did *tee-hee*! Stopped in @ Walnut Creek's Safeway off of Broadway & Mt Diablo before going into work, since they have a Starbucks inside by the Deli & parking wouldn't have been a hassel.
NOTE: This review & rating just on Safeway-Starbucks, m'kay.
CUST SVC: Safeway-Starbucks stand is on the east-side entrance into the grocery store, & literally right there once U walk in. No line & greeted immediately by gent-cashier. I ask to confirm the Starbucks free pastry promo for 7/21/09 & dude asks for my coupon...I flashed back to Different Strokes & I gave him the Arnold ""What you talkin' about Willis"" facial expression, then he lets me know he was teasin'. He turned out to be the barista w/ humor, then the lady cashier came around the corner to take my order.
DRINK & PASTRY: Got my fav/normal Tall Peppermint Soy Mocha no whip. Not much of a selection of pastries in their small window (I was hoping for a Chocolate Croissant), but the Banana Nut Bread was just fine. My coffee stayed hot 'till I got into work w/ the green-stick-keep-from-spilling-over-thingie & my bread was fresh & moist. Another Starbucks satisfied customer ;-)
Pros: Easy parking, friendly Starbuck's staff, & quick
Cons: Small amount of pastry options available
