Review content:
My husband & I just moved to the Vancouver area & we chose the right place! We are always trying to find new sushi restaurants (we both lived in Tokyo combined 12 yrs) that lives up to our standards of what we had in Japan. Well, HERE IT IS!! Katsura is clean & well maintained (current owners have been there 1 yr) w/about 15 tables and a sushi bar. Prices range from $7-$15 depending on the meal. We had Katsudon (pork cutlet on rice) with a Katsura roll (avacado/baked salmon/cucumber/mayo sauce). It was served also w/ miso soup w/tofu & green onions & a side salad w/ fresh greens (not iceberg!!), slivered cucmber/carrot and onions w/ginger dressing. Presentation & taste was excellent! Michael (the owner) & his wife Keiko were very friendly & took care of us like we were family. Michael's sushi & chef skills are A+! We will be going back again & again! Don't take our word for it, go & try it!
Pros: Fresh sushi/great traditional dishes/awesome prices
Cons: None/a little hard to find if you don't know the area
