Review content:
I called for and scheduled a routine cleaning. At the office I was advised that there were three levels of cleaning with my insurance where the First level was paid for by insurance and the other two required a 50% co-pay...X-Rays were taken and then an oral exam was completed. I was then advised I needed procedure D4355-Full Mouth Debridement where I would have to pay $70+. I asked what my insurance pays for and was advised it was D1110-Prophylaxis where they would ONLY polish my teeth...no effort was made or offered to clean my teeth with any kind of manual tools or a Cavitron like other dental offices perform. I left the office and called my dental insurance provider and they agreed that usually the teeth are first cleaned...then flossed...then polished. I agreed that this was what I was accustomed to. I regret letting them take, and get paid for by the insurance, my X-rays. Now I have to find a dentist who will clean...floss...polish my teeth. One last comment I would of understood if they recommended the more extensive D4355 approach yet they insisted it was that service or the Polish using the D1110 service.
Pros: Polite & Clean
Cons: Mislead
