Review content:
I have never seen a program involving children to be so politically run in my entire life. Our family has been in little league baseball for 34 years and now that I have grand children playing I find it is actually getting worse instead of better. The president and the rest of the board don't seem to care so much for the kids as they do for their own benefit. All they seem to do is ask for money for putting on tournaments but don't seem to spend any of it on the tournaments . The snack bar is in terrible shape, the food is lousy, why is it that of all the money they get we can't have a snack bar like fair oaks or c-bar-c. I think if all the parents would take the time to check these things out they might take their children to a different league. We just finished our all-star tournament after three games and I am still wondering why when they pick thirteen players for their abilities to become all-stars that some of the players don't get a chance to show their abilities. It seems that if you are a coaches son or a favorite you get to play all the time. Some of our players only got up to bat one time in each game and the rest of the time they sat on the bench. As parents we pay for our children to play in this league, and I think that all of the players should get the same amount of playing time. We had one of our coaches explain to one of our players after the game that the reason he didn't play much was because he didn't have enough experience, but he has been playing for five years and he made all-stars for the last three. I won't name names but these people know who they are from the president of the league to the majors/minors VP on down the list especially one of the coaches. If the managers and the coaches can't be fair to all of their players then they should'nt be involved in little league. This is a childs sport and not a manager or coaches ego trip. Hopefully next year for the childrens benefit, I hope things will change, but I have my doubts.
