Review content:
I agree with review from Prudence. This physician is well-trained and likely very knowledgable but missed the mark for me in the patient-doctor relationship area. I expect more collaborative care. I'm over 50 and he didn't inquire about any issues I might be having with menopause, for example. Otherwise my first annual exam with him seemed to be complete. He didn't ask me how I see myself working with him on my health....just told me everything was okay and blew off my question about a possible toenail fungus I have, which he said everyone in Minnesota has due to the lack of sunshine. His staff is very nice but sometimes I will call with a question (e.g., recently about scheduling a shingles vaccine for my husband who is over 60 and should have been asked at his recent appointment) and the receptionist seems confused, has to go ask someone and then tells me she is transfering me to a nurse who can get the order from the doctor...and then instead I get a vmail recording. I don't mind leaving a msg, but tell me that there's no one there before I wait for 5 minutes while you go ask the question. They could use a little help with teamwork...
