Review content:
Thanks to the rising violent-crimerate here in Orlando and the new threat of the Winter Park ""Ray-pist"" (I have to misspell the word b/c it gets flagged), my mom was looking to purchase a handgun recently. It would be her first firearm she's ever owned. Her friend was pushing her towards a Glock, but my Mom was unsure. We went to The Shooter's Den this past weekend and spoke to Mark, who was very friendly, informative, and patient. He showed my mom a variety of pistols, all describing his pros and cons for each model. My mom didn't really like the ""complexity"" of the semi-autos (I saw that coming) and the fact that she may cut herself if her hand placement was wrong on the gun when fired, so Mark showed her the S&W Airweight 642 revolver. It was a really neat little gun and they also beat S&W's MSRP price. When my mom is ready to purchase and she gets her CW permit, we'll head back to The Shooter's Den and by that revolver. If you go, ask to speak with Mark, he'll help you out. Also, unlike some of the larger gun stores in the O-town area, ""The Shooter's Den"" is American owned!
Pros: Great service. Nice selection. Good prices. American-Owned
Cons: No gun range at location. Nearest range a few miles down the road.
