I had initially been working with a competitor of theirs here in town and I ended up with a room that was dead. Rod from Soundings came out and listened to it, and he knew exactly what to do and how to solve it.
What made me realize that I had finally found the right people, and I had heard about them from word of mouth, is that I went in to the store on a Saturday morning and they sat me down in one of their theaters. They had me watch Master and Commander, and if you've seen it you'll know what I mean: it sounded like people were literally running on the ceiling, and there was sound coming from everywhere during that opening scene. My room did not sound like that! I wasn't happy with what I was getting from the other company, and Soundings literally saved the room.
