I hired Pete's landscaping for my business and for my home at the same time. The estimator/foreman (Leo) beware!! He comes off as a gentle man but no such thing. They don't back up what they promise. For my business I contracted with them to do $14k of work. Due to unfortunate circumstances job could not be completed. They were paid for the job they had already done and would not reimburse remaining money or material even though they had promised to do so. As a business owner, this is not good business practice. My business associate as well as myself called several times to negociate this but they kept coming up with excuses or would not return phone calls. I found out through some research this is their typical practice -stalling tactics hoping YOU go away and they keep your money. Now I'm suing them. As for my home, they also promised the world. I just wanted simply re-sodding of my grass. I live in a sandy area and the estimator informed me they would dig down and apply proper nutrients and more soil needed. They did no such thing. They just took old sod out and put new sod on top. The sod never meshed together and it burned up even when they programmed my sprinklers. They broke my outside faucet and I had a major leak. The estimator promised to come back to look at the grass but never did. I called about faucet and he denied this happening. I strongly recommend NEVER use them. Since they have bad business practices I have given a major contract to another company. If they had done the right thing the first time I would have re-used them.
