I went in because my washer was broken, and I had to decide if it were worth fixing or just to buy new since it's a $1200 machine. The first person I talked to was very helpful, and indicated it was probably still under warranty. I called back with my information so they could order the parts, and was told that the parts were backordered with no ETA (minimum of 2 weeks, but implied it could be much longer by stating there were parts backordered into 2010). I called whirlpool today to see if they could do anything - I have 7 kids and NEED my washer! I was leaning towards buying a new one since it could be so long. They told me parts are available, they just needed to be ordered, so no need to spend $1200 more on new, or $450 on the used one Atchley had.
