Review content:
My boyfriends mother passed away this last labor day. We lived out of state and had to come here in al. on a flip of a dime. We met up with his brother and both of them went to the bank with her death certificate. They told them it would be ninty days before they could get into the account. We waited and waited til it hurt. Then we went back up there to find out that we needed a probate letter. Gee they could have told us that ninty days ago. On top of it all we had convayed to them that we strongly needed the money to give to the attorney for probate and if they could help us in anyway to free this up. A lady by the name of Pat did call us back just to quickly deny us and hang up before my boyfriend could get a word in edgewise.Weeks go by and still in deadlock and we are seriously suffering, in the light of all this i look up a thing called a indemnity paper that a bank can have you sign if they really want to help. So i called the bank to ask and was put through to a Pat. I asked her about this paper and why could this not be done and instead why dont they work with us! Then it dawned on me it was the same Pat who spoke with my boyfriend. I explained to her how hard this has been on the family and how for future referance it may be a good idea to treat loved ones of the deceased more in a caring manor instead of rudly hanging up on them. She denied it was her he had spoke to! How many Pats work at this location? Then she had a smirky attitude. I told her that the only problems that were going on were not family members disagreeing but the strain the bank has put on us all. If we had been treated better then we may have actually opened a new account with them and left most of the money in the bank. She snicked a little, which really upset me. I know my boyfriends mom would be infurry over what this bank has done! I let Pat know I was gonna post this reveiw and she shook it off quite easily. So I do what I say! But does it make a difference? A bank that does not feel they owe people any respect nor does not show they care does not prove to me that my tax dollars should bale them out! Where I come from we dont allow banks to use our money and nod us off. Afterall they are lucky we are not charging them to borrow our money. As far as I can see this bank does not even worry about what the public thinks so now you know how little you are to them in their eyes.
