Review content:
We took my daughter, a RISD student for her 20th birthday to Caffe Itri. We decided to try an Italian place that was not ion Federal St. in Providence (Cranston is only 10 minutes from the RISD campus), and after reading some reviews, decided to try Caffe Itri. We had 6 picky eaters, and EVERYONE was thrilled. The salads were delightful (I had the mission fig salad), main courses were bountiful (my fiance had a woodfire cooked pork chop that was HUGE) and perfectly cooked. They even plated the cake we brought with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle at no extra charge. The place was packed, the service was fabulous, and the prices were amazingly reasonable, much more so than Federal St. Our dinner for 6 (no wine or dessert) was $188 without the tip. This was worth the drive from CT, and I have a feeling that it will become a haunt for us when we are in RI.
Pros: Great food, great service, reasonable price
Cons: A bit noisy!
