Review content:
My husband and I had possibly the worst experience possible tonight. Our server, Lauren, was not only horribly unattentive, she ignored us for most of the visit. She didn't offer the basics to our meals (parmesan or fresh pepper), didn't inform the plate was hot while handing it to my husband, didn't refill any of our drinks (we had to ask for refills after she passed our table numerous times), didn't apologize for a unpleasurable entree (my husband ordered the risotto, which was just under cooked white rice), she gave him a rather unappreciative expression, and appeared extremely judgmental towards our appearance (We were wearing normal attire for dining at Marco Polo, but my husband has a lot of tattoos and I have facial piercings). She also did these things to the couple behind us (which, did not look the least bit happy either), but was highly attentive and kind to the family across from us. The manager, Franciso, was wonderful about the situation and made the horrific experience tolerable to a slight degree. He is also the reason as to why we will be coming back in the future. Since, my husband has been coming here for three restaurant name changes. However, we will ask to not be seated in Lauren's section. I do not normally go to this extremes about horrible service, because there are levels of, well, just bad service. However, because she was treating us differently than the family of visual normality, and has been there since December, is reason enough to share this.
