Traveled to Prescott this New Years to see the inaugural ""Boot Drop"" to sign in the New Year. Since the Boot was poised over the Palace, we decided to take advantage of their New Years Menu and made reservations for later that night. Their menu listed a $26 dollar Rib Eye, so I looked forward to a thick juicy steak. My wife ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, and she too thought that sounded good. My rib eye was anything BUT thick- maybe a half inch at best. While it was tasty, it was far from a 26 dollar piece of meat. I am not eating carbs, so asked for double veggies. What I got was a normal sized scoop of broccoli and carrots- nothing special. I got a better order of nicely grilled veggies from a sports bar earlier in the day. My wife's shrimp was greasy and nothing to write home about. All in all, I felt like the Palace offered sub standard food at a greatly inflated price- clearly taking advantage of the holiday crowds. There are other choices of places to eat in town, I would suggest they get your food dollars on the future.
