What made it unique or special?I was living in my house for 5 months and not making payments to my mortgage company. I worried everyday about when I would get notice on my front door or when a constable would come to my house and kick me out. I lost my job and Last November of 2008 my mortgage adjusted and almost doubled. I was prepared for a mortgage going up. I was prepared for it because I thought my property value would go up too and I would have been eligible to refinance my home at a better rate. I didn't know we would enter a recession and jobs where going to be cut. I'm not a very technical person, but did my job well for 6 years. The problem was the rising debt, house underwater, and lowering of income. The entire situation has had me walking a tight rope and worried sick. So now after not paying the mortgage for 5 months, I worry all the time, worry when I wake up until I go to sleep and sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, just to worry some more. I can't afford an attorney, heck I can't even pay my mortgage. I went to see Randy Goldberg after seeing the bankruptcy commercials over and over again. I was shocked when I got to his office. By far, I'm not the only person doing this. Mr. Goldberg saw me personally, I was even more surprised, I thought I would meet with a paralegal or somebody like that. Mr. Goldberg cut straight to the point. He's has a mastery sense that goes directly to the truth. I've worried for months. He asked me straightforward, simple questions and after listening to myself answer I realized he just pulled out of me exactly what I've been thinking for months and now its so clear. He got right to what it would cost me and agreed to put me on a payment plan so I could afford to get it done. I don't know why I was so scared to deal with this now that I have Mr. Goldberg's firm handling my case. I think it was the not knowing what my options where and the not doing of anything. Mr. Goldberg gets right down to it and cuts through all the BS. I can't thank him enough for putting his foot forward and getting it done. If you're thinking about filing a BK go see him. I did, it was straightforward, friendly and painless. Yes you have to get some documents together, but if your in a situation like mine, this is so minimal in comparison to the freedom that being debt free will give you back. No more creditors, no more phone calls, no more, no more. I was in over my head and if Randy hadn't bailed me out, I'd still be stuck. Pros: I have a house and my debt is gone
