Review content:
What's best about TR is not what's immediately obvious. We've been clients over 20 years and have found the vets, especially Dr. Tom to be very practical in their approach. At other offices we have had the experience of being encouraged to spend huge amounts on heroic efforts to prolong the lives of animals for very, very short periods of time at great expense to us. Once, when Tom was out of town my horse ""colicked."" It was not colic, but peritonitis, and I was not notified in the course of the surgery that the $3000 procedure was now up to $10,000, with little hope for survival. (The horse died.) I am sure Tom would have reasoned with me and put the horse down. We have plenty of examples of the vets at TR being the voice of reason when we might have clung on to a beloved animal too long, or when I was perfectly capable of performing veterinary tasks myself, and saving a bundle. We'll send them all the business we can.
