Review content:
I've gone to Designing Tailors twice now for alterations; one just to shorten a pair of dress pants with a more complex cuff to them--it required undoing the cuff seams, shortening the legs, then redoing the cuffs. When I got the pants back the only way I could tell anything had been done to them was when I put them on and saw how well they fit--the cuffs were exactly as they were when I bought the pants and they looked great! Just recently I took a very heavy handmade monk's robe to her to have the front (where I'd cut it down the length) hemmed from neck to foot and have the sleeves taken in a bit. Cost a little under 40 dollars but boy was it worth it; the hemming is so well done you can hardly tell it was altered, and the stitches are so straight and even there's no chance of unraveling. My roommate also brought in a pair of pants for hemming and they look and fit fantastically. The work is great and so far I've not had a bad experience, and as they're just around the corner from my house I will continue to take my clothing here!
