Review content:
I recently took my Honda in for an oil change and to have the key lock mechanism looked at before my warranty expired. The service salesman first tried to sell me on over $300 ""30K mile"" service, which I declined. Just the oil, thank you. Then he said they key lock issue was my key, and not covered under warranty. If that were true, it seemed too coincidental that BOTH of my keys did not work. And then told me that I needed new brakes and they should be replaced within the next few weeks. I then took my car to my personal mechanic who lifted the car and showed me my pads. The front ones looked new, and the rear ones were about half-life, and I'm fine for another 20K miles. My mechanic used to work for dealerships and explained that he was probably just trying to improve his numbers for the month so he was selling me things I didn't really need. Unless it's warranty-related and you HAVE to go to the dealership, find yourself a good honest mechanic and save yourself some money.
