Businiess name:  Sweepys Chimney

Review content:
Sweepys Chimney recently made my 86 Yr old mother the victim of a classic Bait and Switch scheme designed to glean money from the elderly and confused. Sweepys Chimney phoned her a few weeks ago to say they were going to be in the area, and offered to clean her chimney for $70.00. When they arrived (a day late!) and realized she lived alone, they told her that the chimney was in serious dis-repair, and needed to be fixed. IMMEDIATELY! THAT DAY!...for $2,400.00. And they needed a bank check. Right away. My mom got nervous and confused. She wanted to ""do the right thing"". She was told it HAD to be fixed NOW. No suggestion of a second opinion. So she ran to the bank and took the money out of her limited savings. By the way, she had no previous problems with her chimney and doesn't ever use her fireplace. My advice? Don't call them. Instead, call the Better Business Bureau, as I intend to. Right after I call my lawyer. There's GOT to be a law against behavior like this!!! Cons: Very Slick
