I've dined at some of the best restaurants in the World.
That said, I've been looking forward to having dinner at Cyrus for at least 2 years. I went recently and was royally disappointed. I can't believe I'm writing this review because Cyrus is still better than 90% of the restaurants out there. However, given all of its hype and its price tag...it was a big disappointment. The Healdsburg location and the service staff are its best attributes. Cyrus however should stop offering reservations after 9pm when you can only have a 5 or 8-course meal. I wasn't seated until 10pm for my 9:30pm reservation; and no apology was given. By the 2nd course, I was ready to fall asleep in my plate and suffered through an endless string of 'just OK' dishes that ended at 1AM and totaled $400....it all seemed so criminal.
Pros: Service, location, wagyu beef dish
Cons: Late reservation, narrow interior space, food just ok
