I can't say anything about the products but I can tell you that this company is substandard as far as business conduct is concerned.
I own a rental store in Warwick RI. Gem Ravioli of Johnston RI rented a pallet jack form us for a 4 hour rental on 06/28/2011. They were due to return the pallet jack the same day but they did not return it on time. We called and left a reminder message on the 30th and then another on the 5th of July, the 6th of July and again on the 7th of July. Not one of our calls was returned and neither was the pallet jack. On the 8th of July we called and left a final message explaining that the item was overdue and that we had not been able to obtain an answer from anyone from Gem and that if we did not hear from someone within 24hours we would be forced to report the pallet jack as stolen equipment. Apparently Gem makes it a habit not to answer their phone and requires each caller to leave a message which in my case never gets answered.
After leaving our final message the folks at Gem must have decided to avoid police action and so they returned the pallet jack the very next day but their driver was told by his boss that everything was ""all set"". meaning that no additional rent was due. I explained that this was certainly not the case and that there were several days of additional rent due and of course he was not able to pay. He placed a call to his office and assured me that someone would take care of the charges right away but so far no attempt has been made by Gem Ravioli to pay their balance and they once again are not returning my calls.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend becoming involved with a company that refuses to live up their obligations. If you're considering extending credit to Gem Ravioli you'd be well advised to think twice.
In today's' business environment there are much better choices for purchasing similar products. Why give your business to a less than
honorable bunch of thieves like Gem Ravioli?
