The woman who does my nails there is excellent, but Michelle, the owner/manager has terrible customer service skills, perhaps because she is the owner and has no one to report to. I had a problem with the top coat they use turning my nails brown (as per my manicurist and two of the women working behind the counter). She was dishonest with me about several things, contradicted herself half a dozen times, never once said she was sorry about my nails, and was just plain rude. We were having a three-way conversation in English, everyone speaking and understanding no problem, when she began speaking Vietnamese, leaving me to only guess what was being said. She kept interrupting me and turning the conversation into how great she was with the customers. I've been in customer service for over 20 years myself, and would never treat anyone that way. All she had to do was show that she cared about my situation and everything would have been fine, brown nails and all. I strongly recommend going elsewhere, and am going to make it a point to share my unpleasant experience with all ladies in La Canada that I socialize with. You know the saying...""and she told two people, and so on, and so on...""
Pros: business is down for them, so more appointments available
Cons: having to deal with the owner over a problem
