Review content:
One thing after living on Hibiscus Island, Miami Beach & living in the Bahamas, I was already disappointed before I got to the place. The surrounding environment is bland & unfriendly. Malls in between highways, nothing more. You will not run out of places to shop & all banks are near you. Not my idea of scenic.
The first thing I noticed inside was the moldy smell. The ventilation is not good. Central air does not function properly. The toilet is the size we used in our church for toddlers. with very tiny pipes to boot & flushing many times has to be repetitive. So, first day, poor maintenance is obvious. You pick up a lot of spanish stations on the tele, so if you don't speak it, you will need a satellite not a digital antennae. One company delivers cable service, you have to pay for phone number also. They have a pool but you must wear bathing suits from Paris to swim. You are not allowed to linger outside the door except to go to the recreational area where there is a pool table & television, again, you must be dressed in designer wear & pay another fee. You are allowed to fish in the lake but you must release the fish. Obviously, being an island girl. releasing food is absurd. So what is the point of fishing, to torment fish? For breaking any rules you will ,of course, be fined. They make money off you every time you move & you must keep all receipts because they send you warnings to pay your utility bill or else a few weeks after you've already paid it. Without your receipt you are doomed to dig in your pocket with blood pressure rising ,teeth grinding fury as you pay these unmasked robbers again.
