Last Friday night, my husband and I were planning on a rare ""date"" night, and had decided on dinner (at Biaggi's) and a movie (at AMC - plans fell through as AMC advertised incorrect information). Well, we had made reservations for 8:00 p.m., and I had requested a table away from restrooms and the kitchen. We got there, and it was teeming with people, to which we were pleased and/or surprised (we'd never been there before). We still had to wait for the table and were able to get drinks at the somewhat crowded (but friendly) bar, but the hostess's manners were exemplary, and we were led to a charming table for two out of the way. My husband ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was very, very good, but I ordered the shrimp and loster-stuffed trigger fish, which was OUTSTANDING! Truly, the fine chefs at Biaggi's really know what they're doing with sea fare. They both came with perfectly al dente green beans and delicious ciabatta and whole grain breads (Devon's had yummy garlic-mashed potatoes too), a perfect compliment to my sparkling Modesto d'Asti wine, and to my husband's Sam Adams. Our server, Chris, was really attentive and professional, and we never felt rushed. For dessert, we shared an order of their Tiramisu (as they were out of the creme brulee for the evening, much to our chagrin), which was quite excellent as well. We had both dressed up (like I said, date night is rare), but one would be perfectly welcomed to wear a more casual attire, as well. But please, make sure you make reservations, and try to leave the kids at home with a sitter to enjoy this experience better - I promise you won't regret it! Pros: Excellent service and food! Cons: A slight wait, even with reservations.
