If you have this company repair a rug, ask to see the repairs before you leave. I had Horrigan Cleaners clean and repair one of my braided area rugs. I brought it home only to find about 6 spots they missed. My wife called up the next day to let them know about the issue. She was told that the tears were not missed but rather occurred when the rug was brought home. We brought the rug back the next day, they claimed to have fixed the additional tears. The company rep I spoke with said this is something that happens all the time and that this time they wrapped the rug around a rigid core to support the rug. This was never sated when I first picked up the rug and the first time home the rug was not on a rigid core for support. If this is a common issue why would the not inform the customer this may happen and by default they should send the rugs home on a solid core to prevent any potential tears. I noted to the rep that I wanted a refund for the repair service to cover my time for my second visit. Any expectations about the service to be rendered should be set before the service is rendered, not after the transaction. A manager issued me a partial refund for the repair service with no apologies for the poor service. Everyone has a bad day, this is the first time I used this company; maybe I got them on a bad day?
