Review content:
The 2-day course with Manhattan Review was a great way to start my preparation for gmat. Over the 2 days we ran through all the gmat sections with some theory and exercises. The tutor gave the class a number of tips and tricks which proved key to saving time, especially for the quantitative section. When I started practice tests on my own I realized how important saving time actually is during the exam: how it is easy to lose rhythm, get behind question schedule, and eventually panic and make mistakes.
On the verbal sections, I would have struggled to perform this well had I not been coached by the tutor on understanding the 'real meaning' or 'purpose' of passages and quotes. During the course I completely turned around my way of reading, from a superficial skim of the general line, to understanding the essential facts leading to the message, a key skill for gmat.
Overall the 2 day course was timewise and content wise the perfect compromise for me.
