I do not recommend the Melting Pot in Scranton to ANYONE! The service was horrible and wait staff and management are extremely rude! At the party I had there, myself and a family member were screamed at for starting to put confetti on the table. The waitress yelled ""its in your contract!"" which it wasn't and was also not mentioned at the meeting i had with the owner. I had no problem with not using the confetti, my problem was with the way I was approached about it. Our party was from 1230-330. My husband and the DJ were told that everyone needed to be out at 330 as the waitress had ""more important things to do"" that day. We had a cash bar, however when someone needed a drink, there was noone to be found. The DJ was constantly being screamed at by the staff to ""turn the music down"" but it was not loud. As if that wasn't enough, when it was time to eat, as the food was getting low we asked for some more to be brought out. they would only bring enough for one serving at a time. The bus boy helped himself to the buffet on more than one occasion and at the end we were told we could not even bring the leftover cake home! When we called to bring this to the owners attention, we were accused of making all of this up, but when we said we could tell him exactly who we had issues with, he knew right away who we were talking about. We wanted no sort of compensation from them, just showing common courtesy to bring to their attention. NEVER AGAIN WILL I HAVE ANYTHING THERE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!! DONT HAVE YOUR PARTY HERE! Am only giving a one star because it will not let me submit otherwise, but in my opinion they don't deserve any!
